Kay Davis - K6HIT

Cactus Radio Club

- April 24, 2005

I wanted to let you know that my mother, Kay Davis, K6HIT passed away early Wednesday morning, April 24, 2005 at Kingman Medical Center in Kingman, Arizona. She was 79 years old and lived in Kingman for the last 12 years. She leaves a daughter Taffy WA6LKV, granddaughter Kathie, KF6ZGL, grandson Bill and great grandson Matthew. Her son Joseph Vita passed away in 2001, and her husband David Davis W7MWF in 1987. Ham radio was a major part of her life maintaining her Cactus Radio Club, QCWA and other memberships to the very end.

She was first licensed as a ham in 1954 and as you all know, was affectionately known as 'Momma Kay' by many young hams that she 'adopted' in the early 1960's in Southern California

Per her wishes, her ashes will be spread in the forest near Parks, Arizona where she and David lived in her solar powered trailer for many summers.
